About the position
Tindall Corporation is a leading Precast Concrete Manufacturer, with locations throughout the Southeastern U.S. Our mission is to support our customers, create remarkable structures, and deliver never-before-seen solutions every step of the way. The position involves supervising the Carpenter shop, assigning duties to individual Carpenters, building complicated wood forms, and installing form work as needed.
Responsibilities
- Obtain shop cards for scheduled pours.
- Review shop cards and mark areas requiring form work.
- Calculate dimensions of form work and draw sketch.
- Assign form work for Carpenter or Mold Builder.
- Measure and mark forming material to correct dimensions.
- Cut/saw forming materials to size on table saw, radial saw, or other equipment.
- Assemble cut materials into haunch boxes, dapout boxes, header, etc.
- Install form work in beds.
- Repair, modify, or clean used form work to be salvaged for additional pours.
- Repair carpenter shop equipment as needed.
- Build form work requiring advanced carpentry techniques (curbs, arched panels, etc.).
- Clean up work area.
- Complete timesheets for Carpenter Shop.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One to three months related experience and/or training.
