About the position
Griswold Home Care is seeking compassionate individuals to join their team as part-time Caregivers in the Columbia Heights area. This role focuses on providing non-medical elderly care and companionship, helping seniors maintain their independence and dignity in their own homes. Caregivers will assist with daily tasks, ensuring clients receive the highest quality of care while enjoying flexible working hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical elderly care and companionship to clients.
- Assist clients with daily tasks such as laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
- Help clients maintain personal hygiene, including bathing and feeding.
- Complete documentation for each shift and submit timely updates.
- Communicate routinely with the office about the condition and needs of clients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Current valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willing to travel up to 25 miles.
- 2+ years of home care experience is a plus, but not required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience caring for a loved one counts as home care experience.
- Willingness to learn and receive training.
