The ideal candidate will have experience in direct support and home care settings, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role requires a commitment to patient care, including those with specific needs such as dementia care and autism support.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to clients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Observe and document changes in clients' conditions, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop personalized care plans.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care, group home settings, or social work is preferred.
• Knowledge of memory care techniques and patient observation practices is beneficial.
• Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
