About the position

Caregivers are expected to deliver personal care services, monitor health conditions, administer medications, and offer companionship while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
• Monitor patients' health by observing their conditions and reporting any changes.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
• Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote independence and well-being.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental health.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records of patient observations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with first aid practices is a plus.
• Experience in hospice care or working with individuals with dementia is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and medication administration protocols is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively in group home settings or assisted living environments is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients and their families.
