About the position
As a Personal Attendant with Caregiver Inclusion Services, you will provide essential one-on-one care to children and adults with developmental disabilities in their homes. The role focuses on enhancing the independence and quality of life of individuals by offering direct supervision and support in daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily direct supervision of children and/or adults with developmental disabilities.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding individuals who need help due to age or disability.
- Manage scheduling of medical appointments for clients.
- Support clients with money management and shopping for personal items.
- Monitor services and individuals' progress in relation to established goals and objectives.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients.
- Use independent judgment during services and emergencies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid CA Driver's License.
- Clean Driving Record.
- Vehicle Insurance and CA Vehicle Registration.
- CPR Certification.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to speak English and any additional language based on individual needs.
- Experience working with individuals with intense and challenging behaviors.
