About The Position

Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to join their team. This role involves providing excellent care for senior residents in a secured memory care unit, assisting with daily living activities, light housekeeping, escorting to meals, serving food, and medication management. Caregivers in the memory care unit have the unique opportunity to provide selfless service to residents experiencing memory loss, aiming to bring safety and joy during their end-of-life years for both residents and their families.

Requirements

• Pass a criminal background check
• Be responsible and self-motivated to work independently
• Be cooperative and encouraging as part of a team
• Have a genuine caring attitude for providing service to seniors who struggle with an array of emotions and needs in various stages of memory loss
• Be able to speak professionally and compassionately to families dealing with their loved ones' memory loss
• Demonstrate reliability and follow-through
• Pay attention to details and correctly follow instructions to provide consistent and excellent care

• Memory care experience: 1 year

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living
• Perform occasional light housekeeping
• Escort residents to and from meals
• Serve prepared food
• Provide medication management services
• Perform other assisted living services as needed
• Provide care for residents in a secured memory care unit 24/7
• Demonstrate selfless service by caring for those with memory loss
• Bring safety and joy to residents and their families
