About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and experienced PRN Caregiver to provide non-medical, in-home care to clients throughout Madison County communities. This position is on an as-needed basis and requires flexibility to accept shifts on short notice. The caregiver will support clients with daily activities while promoting independence, dignity, and safety in their homes.

Requirements

Minimum 1–2 years of caregiving or home care experience
Reliable transportation, car insurance, and valid driver’s license
Must reside in Madison County, IL and be willing to travel within 30 miles of your home
Applicants must be at least 18 years old
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to lift, push, or pull 25 pounds
Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach
Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
Provide mobility assistance, including transfers and ambulation support
Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, general cleaning)
Provide medication reminders (non-clinical only)
Offer companionship and emotional support
Monitor client condition and report any changes to supervisor or family
Transport or accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community activities
Follow individualized care plans and document services accurately
