About The Position

Paramount Home Health Care is currently seeking a dependable, confident, and experienced caregiver to work with an APD consumer in Palmetto, Florida (34221). This is an excellent opportunity for caregivers who are passionate about making a real difference in someone’s life while working in a supportive and professional environment. Our client is a young gentleman in his mid-20s, approximately 6 feet tall, who requires a caregiver with patience, confidence, and experience working with individuals who may display occasional behavioral challenges. At times, he may use inappropriate language or become verbally aggressive toward his mother, but with the right approach, reassurance, and redirection, he can usually be calmed down effectively. Female caregivers are absolutely welcome to apply, especially those who are experienced, calm under pressure, and comfortable managing behaviors professionally and respectfully.

Requirements

Dependable, confident, and experienced caregiver
Patience, confidence, and experience working with individuals who may display occasional behavioral challenges
Experience managing behaviors and de-escalation techniques
Compassionate, patient, and emotionally mature
Reliable and committed to attendance
Comfortable providing supervision, companionship, and support with daily activities
Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging moments
Caring, strong-minded, dependable, and passionate about helping individuals with special needs thrive
