About the position

The Caregiver position at HomeWell Care Services involves providing non-medical personal care, companionship, and homemaker services to elderly clients in their homes. The role is designed to help clients maintain their independence and comfort while receiving the necessary support. Caregivers are expected to perform various tasks with dignity and compassion, ensuring a positive experience for clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to clients
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry
• Prepare and cook meals
• Help with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Assist with ambulation and medication reminders
• Transport clients to appointments and errands
• Provide care for bed-bound clients and those with incontinence
• Engage clients in life enrichment activities such as visiting parks, playing games, and crafts
• Assist clients with pets

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in caregiving (CNA or HHA license preferred but not required)
• Physically able to perform the duties of the position
• Reliable transportation available
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance if transporting clients
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to lift at least 150 lbs.
• Pass a criminal background check
• CPR certification preferred
• Pass a drug screen and TB skin test
• Ability to be around animals (cats and dogs)
