About the position

The Caregiver position at BrightStar Care of Baltimore City/County involves providing one-on-one care to clients, ensuring their daily living needs are met in a safe and supportive environment. This role is crucial for assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promoting their overall well-being. Caregivers are expected to document changes in clients' conditions and adhere to established care plans while maintaining a high standard of care.

Responsibilities

• Document any observed changes in client condition.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transferring.
• Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Take and record vital signs, weight, and height.
• Develop and promote a safe environment for quality client care through adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Assist clients in walking and transporting them to appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience as a caregiver, preferably in Home Health Care or Private Duty.
• Current in-person CPR certification (not online).
• Valid Driver's License with Auto Insurance.
• Ability to travel throughout Baltimore County and parts of Baltimore City.
• Physical and PPD (TB Skin Test) or Chest X-ray result from the past 12 months.
• Availability to work at least 30 hours per week, including every other weekend.
