About the position
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking experienced Caregivers/Direct Support Personnel to provide essential support in a residential facility for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role involves assisting with daily living activities and personal care for elderly residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide 1:1 support to residents
- Assist with personal care including dressing, bathing, toileting, and oral hygiene
- Feed or assist with feeding support according to dietary requirements
- Transfer residents using mechanical hoist
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Caregiver/Direct Support Personnel
- Experience working with the elderly population
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
- Experience in transferring with a mechanical hoist preferred
- BLS/CPR certification
