About The Position

At Senior Helpers, our caregivers create daily moments of connection that help older adults stay safe, supported, and independent at home. As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you’ll use your skills, empathy, and professionalism to deliver consistent, high-quality care that strengthens the lives of our clients and their families. We are seeking dependable, experienced caregivers who can confidently support clients throughout Cheyenne and the surrounding areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of professional caregiving experience.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Legal identification and authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to use a smartphone for electronic scheduling, communication, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Build meaningful relationships by initiating friendly, engaging conversations and participating in clients’ preferred activities.
  • Support daily living with professionalism by assisting clients with personal care tasks, preparing simple, nutritious meals, and supporting safe eating routines.
  • Promote safety and independence by observing clients’ mobility, behavior, and physical or cognitive changes and reporting concerns promptly, and following care plans accurately.
  • Maintain accurate documentation by using the electronic caregiver mobile app to clock in/out, record completed tasks, and update client notes.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating clearly with families, supervisors, and team members, and responding to schedule updates and care plan changes professionally.
  • Provide safe assistance with bathing, mobility, transfers, positioning, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, medication reminders, feeding, and dressing.
  • Engage clients in conversation and recreation.
  • Prepare light meals, perform light housekeeping, manage laundry, assist with shopping and errands, and provide incidental transportation.
  • Help clients maintain an organized and comfortable home environment.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by the client or care team that support safe, successful aging in place.
