About the position
The Caregiver (HHA/CNA) at Brandywine/Monarch- Serenade at Mahwah is responsible for assisting residents with their daily activities as outlined in their care plans. This role focuses on providing personal care, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents, and maintaining their dignity and confidentiality. The position offers opportunities for education and growth within a supportive environment dedicated to the well-being of both residents and team members.
Responsibilities
- Provide resident care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding as outlined in care plans.
- Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents.
- Escort residents to meals and activities.
- Ensure all assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed, groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts.
- Document all services provided to assigned residents during shifts.
- Report any change of condition in a resident immediately to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
- Knowledge and experience in working with the elderly population, preferably with dementia experience.
