About The Position
Senior Home Care of Central Ohio is a provider of in-home non-medical services for our elderly community. We are looking for a compassionate qualified caregiver who will treat our clients like family, providing the dignity, respect and quality service they deserve. WE OFFER PREMIUM PAY! Requirements
- A clean criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screen
- Possess a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance
- Previous employer reference checks
- Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
- High School Diploma with one of the following: State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Home Health Aide (HHA)
- 1 year continuous caregiving experience with no certification
Responsibilities
- Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity (which may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing)
- Assisting with dressing, oral hygiene, bathing and toileting
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Reminding clients of medications
- Exercise encouragement including Ambulation/Mobility Assistance
- Socialization visits
- Light housekeeping
- Errand assistance (organization, appointments and grocery lists etc.)
- Transportation to appointments, errands and social activity
- Other responsibilities may include Alzheimer's care depending on your level of training and experience
