About the position
The Career Transition Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting in-school and transition youth, as well as disabled youth and adult program participants, in navigating educational, training, and employment services. This position focuses on alleviating barriers to success, connecting participants with supplemental services, and providing ongoing case management throughout their enrollment in the program.
Responsibilities
- Assist in-school and transition youth, disabled youth, and adult program participants in navigating education, training, and employment services.
- Access resources to alleviate participant barriers.
- Make connections to supplemental services to achieve career readiness milestones.
- Provide case management throughout participants' enrollment in the program.
Requirements
- Experience in teaching or related fields.
- Proficiency in PC and MS Office applications.
- Willingness to travel to various schools or locations within a 50-mile radius of West Memphis, Arkansas.
Nice-to-haves
- Teaching background preferred.
