About the position

The Care Partner position at Avanti Senior Living involves providing compassionate and exceptional care to residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being while promoting independence. Responsibilities

  • Promptly respond to all resident care needs in line with Avanti Standards.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including showering, dressing, personal hygiene, and grooming.
  • Motivate and encourage residents to maintain independence while providing necessary assistance.
  • Observe and record residents' conditions, including food and liquid intake and vital signs, reporting changes to the Charge Nurse.
  • Support residents in participating in activities, providing motivation and encouragement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, including housekeeping duties.
  • Deliver and retrieve meal trays, serve meals, and assist in meal preparation as needed.
  • Comply with food handling and safety guidelines, ensuring proper hygiene practices are followed.
  • Advocate for and adhere to all health and safety regulations, including confidentiality policies.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and in-service training sessions.

Requirements

  • Certified Caregiver certification required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two to five years of prior assisted living or senior care experience preferred.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English communication.
  • Ability to establish long-term relationships with residents and their families.
  • Compassion for and a desire to work with the older adult population.
  • Basic personal computer skills, including email and word processing.

  • Experience in a senior living or healthcare environment.
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and systems quickly.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and hospitality.
