About the position

The Care Partner position at Vitalia Senior Residences involves providing compassionate support to residents in a senior living environment. The role emphasizes empathy, engagement, and proactive assistance with daily living activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere for both residents and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care.
  • Create human connections with residents during their vulnerable moments.
  • Foster an inclusive and positive environment by investing fully in work, team members, and the community.
  • Engage in personal development and training within the organization.
  • Be present and share talents with residents and team members.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude towards residents is essential.
  • Basic computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, including after falls.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
