About the position
The position is for a locum tenens cardiologist at a hospital-based facility with a clinic in Southern West Virginia. The role involves providing general cardiology services, supervising tests, and managing patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The cardiologist will work Monday through Friday with a mix of hospital and clinic responsibilities, and will be required to take call during nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Provide general cardiology services including patient evaluations and management.
- Read and interpret cardiac studies such as EKGs, nuclear tests, stress tests, and echocardiograms.
- Supervise hospital tests and procedures.
- Manage patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Participate in morning rounding and afternoon clinic sessions.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist.
- Active West Virginia or IMLC license.
