About the position
The Cardiac Sonography (Ultrasound) Instructor at Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is responsible for teaching and guiding students in the field of cardiac sonography. This full-time position requires a knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual who can effectively deliver course content, monitor student progress, and ensure compliance with educational standards. The instructor will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of sonographers through hands-on training and evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Teach classes according to the assigned schedule
- Follow the Syllabus and Daily Lesson Plans
- Teach students scanning techniques and approaches
- Monitor students scanning progress
- Evaluate student progress and assist with student growth and success with scanning
- Maintain current Continuing Medical Education (CME) according to the ARDMS requirements
Requirements
- AS Degree required, BS Degree preferred
- ARDMS, RDCS, Current licensure in good standing within their discipline
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as a staff sonographer at an imaging facility/hospital/clinic
- 1-3 Years Experience as an instructor preferred
