About the position
The Cardiac Device Technician at Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is responsible for providing patient care activities related to arrhythmia devices. This role involves analyzing and reprogramming various brands of pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as assisting with the implantation of recording devices in an office setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care activities to support patients with Arrhythmia Devices.
- Analyze and reprogram various brands of pacemakers and defibrillators.
- Analyze rhythms on remote transmissions.
- Assist with the implantation of recording devices in the office setting.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of complex rhythm recognition class.
- Successful completion of a Cardiac Device Educational Program or 2 years patient care experience, including exposure to implantable cardiac devices and complex arrhythmia recognition.
Nice-to-haves
- College degree preferred.
