About the position
Under supervision of the Assistant Director of Campus Safety, the Campus Safety Officer will perform tasks in support of the college's safety and security operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by patrolling and monitoring safety and security conditions on college property
- Respond to calls for service, including but not limited to, incidents, accidents, and suspicious activity
- Collaborate with other campus departments and law enforcement agencies to ensure effective safety and security operations
- Conduct safety and security inspections and investigations as needed
- Develop and implement safety and security protocols and procedures
- Provide training and education to students, faculty, and staff on safety and security procedures and protocols
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and other safety and security-related events
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Campus Safety
