CALTRANS Construction Materials Testing Technician
About The Position
Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is looking for a CALTRANS Construction Materials Testing Technician to join their San Diego, California office. This role involves providing high-level inspection and testing services to a diverse client base on projects throughout San Diego. The technician will be actively engaged on construction sites, performing special inspections and testing of construction materials in the field. The position offers a dynamic work environment, the opportunity to work on multiple high-profile projects, and be part of an industry-leading company. Requirements
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1.
- Caltrans JTCP Soils and Aggregate
- Caltrans CTM 231, 375, 125 HMA, 523, 524, 533.
- Batch Plant Inspection Experience.
- Transportation Experience.
- Radiation Safety training for the operation of a nuclear density gauge and experience with soil density testing.
- 5+ years of construction materials testing experience.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Responsibilities

- Using a company-provided laptop or tablet computer.
