CALTRANS Construction Materials Testing Technician
About The Position
Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is looking for a CALTRANS Construction Materials Testing Technician to join their San Diego, California office. This role involves working on large and interesting projects, providing high-level inspection and testing services to a diverse client base. The technician will be actively engaged on construction sites, performing special inspections and testing of construction materials in the field. The position offers a dynamic work environment, the opportunity to work on multiple high-profile projects, and to be part of an industry-leading company. Requirements
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1.
- Caltrans JTCP Soils and Aggregate.
- Caltrans CTM 231, 375, 125 HMA, 523, 524, 533.
- Batch Plant Inspection Experience.
- Transportation Experience.
- Radiation Safety training for the operation of a nuclear density gauge and experience with soil density testing.
- 5+ years of construction materials testing experience.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with construction management, observation/inspection services, laboratory testing, materials and forensic engineering.
- Experience on some of the largest and most interesting projects in the area.
