About the position

The Spectrum Customer Service Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing sales opportunities by effectively handling inbound sales calls to acquire new residential customers and upsell existing customers on additional products and services. This role emphasizes customer satisfaction and aims to meet or exceed sales activity goals through effective communication and sales techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Actively support efforts to enhance the customer experience.
  • Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction during sales transactions.
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales activity goals using effective selling techniques.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to inbound sales calls as per call handling metrics.
  • Sell products and services to prospective customers and maximize revenue from existing customers.
  • Learn and master order processing and billing systems related to inbound sales.
  • Explain all products and services to customers proficiently.
  • Acquire knowledge of competitors' pricing and products to discuss comparisons with Charter's offerings.
  • Work with other departments to resolve customer issues as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a high level.
  • Strong sales experience is required.
  • Ability to work at any Spectrum location.
  • Proficient in computer use, including Windows and Word.
  • Typing speed of 40 words per minute and familiarity with telephone systems and ten-key adding machines.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to handle customer service inquiries effectively.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures, basic mathematics, and bookkeeping.
  • Stable employment history is preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 3-6 months of office, clerical, or customer service experience is required.
