About the position

The Cafe Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of the restaurant at Tropicana Laughlin, overseeing hiring, staffing, menu creation, quality control, and ensuring positive guest relations. This role involves maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and addressing guest complaints while supervising the cafe staff.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain general cleanliness and organization in the restaurant.
  • Delegate work to employees.
  • Create staff schedules.
  • Responsible for inventory of restaurant food products and supplies.
  • Evaluate and discipline all employees as needed.
  • Provide Family Style Service to guests and Team Members.
  • Assist in resolving guest complaints and promote positive guest relations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three to six months of related experience and/or training in a similar food outlet, hotel or casino atmosphere.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a current Health Card, Liquor License, or other required certifications as required by geographical area of the property.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
  • Basic computer skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
