About the position

This job supervises and leads the daily operations of the Food and Beverage Department collaboration with management staff over the department. The incumbent is responsible for supervising initiatives to improve processes, maximizing efficiency, and maintaining high employee morale. Café leaders' main responsibility is to facilitate sales by way of ensuring and maintaining food quality and upholding a high standard of customer service. Responsibilities

  • Supervises and leads the café team in all operation performance matters.
  • Supervises and leads the café in all human resource, employee relations, and individual employee performance matters.
  • Supervises and utilizes all available financial performance management information to monitor and measure the performance of the program as a team as well as the individual performance of team members.
  • Supervises and leads respective café in delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience as a supervisor in the food and beverage industry.
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including demonstrated supervisory skills and ability to foster an environment of teamwork, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
  • Thorough knowledge and application of all Café' policies as well as an understanding of facility characteristics, rules and procedures.
  • Excellent decision-making skills.
  • Excellent delegation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, handle cash, and work in a fast paced environment.
