About the position
The CAD Technician will work within the Technical-Design department at ASN Constructors, supporting engineers, architects, and design staff by producing accurate volumetric drawings based on design specifications. This role involves collaboration with various teams to prepare As-Built Drawings that reflect revisions and actual field conditions, ensuring high-quality project outcomes for the Metro Flood Diversion Authority.
Responsibilities
- Utilize computer-drafting techniques to generate work plans, construction drawings, volume reports, and as-built plans.
- Update software, drawings, and other documents as needed.
- Remain professional when receiving feedback and implement changes to drafts promptly.
- Perform earthwork and general quantity calculations from survey data.
- Generate accurate and detailed as-built drawings and models.
- Assist with the development of field fit designs and analysis.
- Maintain an organized file system.
- Perform related work as required.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in survey, drafting, or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of CAD experience required.
- Working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Ability to read and understand civil engineered construction plans.
- Survey data processing experience (GPS and conventional) is highly desired but not required.
