About the position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer with expertise in low voltage cabling and electrical systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings and specifications for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed CAD drawings for low voltage cabling and electrical systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver accurate designs.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Perform site visits and surveys to gather necessary information for design development.
  • Review and revise designs based on feedback from clients and team members.
  • Maintain and update CAD libraries and templates.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior designers and drafters.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a CAD Designer, preferably in low voltage cabling or electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of electrical design principles and standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE).
  • Certification in CAD or electrical design.
