About the position
GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a talented CAD Designer to join their Transportation and Infrastructure Unit, specifically within the Bridge Design group. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are eager to develop their skills and grow professionally. The position offers flexibility with remote and hybrid work options available across various office locations in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Develop CAD designs for transportation and infrastructure projects.
- Perform general reviews of project work to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Manage personal tasks and meet deadlines and project scope requirements.
- Provide minimal oversight and mentoring to lower-level CAD Operators.
- Communicate effectively with the design team and other staff members.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in CAD design, specifically with AutoCAD and Bentley projects.
- Associate degree from an accredited Technical School or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with 2D and 3D workspace in CAD software.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced knowledge of geospatial relationships.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring lower-level CAD staff.
