About the position
GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a talented CAD Designer to join their Transportation and Infrastructure Unit, specifically within the Bridge Design group. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, focusing on professional development and growth. The position allows for flexibility in work location, including remote and hybrid options.
Responsibilities
- Develop CAD designs in 2D and 3D for transportation and infrastructure projects.
- Communicate effectively with the design team to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage personal tasks and adhere to project deadlines and scope.
- Perform self-reviews of work and correct errors before submission.
- Provide minimal oversight and mentoring to lower-level CAD Operators.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in CAD design, specifically with AutoCAD and Bentley projects.
- Associate degree from an accredited Technical School or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in mentoring lower-level CAD staff.
- Familiarity with geospatial relationships and corporate standards.
