About The Position

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX. The role involves working inside and outside buildings to construct data centers. Responsibilities include laying out and installing wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles, and other devices. The technician will also build closets by mounting and installing backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, and fiber optic hardware. Installing grounding for racks, equipment, and cable, as well as completing all IDC connections (e.g., terminating 110/66 blocks and patch panels) are key duties. The job requires pulling wire and potentially overseeing and directing conduit installations and wire pulling. The technician will operate tools and equipment that normally require the use of two hands, such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers.

Responsibilities

Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices
