About the position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cable Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various cable systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer networking and electrical systems, along with the ability to work effectively in the field. Responsibilities
- Install and configure cabling systems for telecommunications and data networks.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing cable installations.
- Utilize hand tools and electrical equipment to complete installations safely and efficiently.
- Conduct tests using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all installation processes.
Requirements
- Proficiency in computer networking concepts and practices.
- Experience in field service roles with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to cabling and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with network installation techniques and best practices.
- Ability to work with various hand tools required for installation tasks.
- Experience as a service technician in telecommunications or related fields is a plus.
- Knowledge of telephone systems and their integration into network setups is desirable.
