About the position
The Kentucky Installation Technician at California Closets is responsible for installing custom-designed residential storage systems and accessories. This role emphasizes the use of luxury materials and requires a blend of carpentry skills and exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction across the state, particularly in Louisville and Lexington.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled and semi-skilled carpentry work to install custom storage systems such as closets, cabinets, and offices.
- Utilize company-provided CAD drawings and blueprints to install systems properly and efficiently.
- Assemble and install systems of varying complexity.
- Assist in the removal and installation of materials in customer homes.
- Maintain shop tools and equipment in safe working order.
- Install systems independently or with team members depending on the size of the job.
- Provide a high level of customer service for in-home installations.
- Maintain safety standards at all times.
- Drive to and from customer sites and operate a company-provided vehicle safely.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with common hand and power tools.
- Trade or vocational school experience desirable.
- Cabinetry or carpentry skills desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
- Able to walk, lift 50 pounds, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel, and crouch.

- Experience in customer service roles.
- Familiarity with CAD software.
