About the position

The Summer 2025 Construction Project Management Internship at CAA ICON offers a hands-on, educational experience for university students pursuing degrees in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related fields. Interns will support project teams in various operational and administrative tasks, gaining exposure to the construction industry and the management of high-profile sports and entertainment facilities. This full-time, in-person internship runs from May 19, 2025, to August 8, 2025, and provides opportunities for professional development and networking within the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily needs including deliveries/mailing, scanning, document development, and maintaining tracking logs.
  • Coordinate and maintain a master calendar for the project team, managing all scheduled activities, meeting invites, and conference call lines.
  • Assist with the maintenance of files and attend all regularly scheduled meetings, taking notes and keeping meeting minutes as required.
  • Assist with planning events and special projects, obtaining project data to establish schedules, and monitoring budgets and costs.
  • Assist with contract administration, project correspondence, and document control, including log submittals and processing of RFIs.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and staff, and navigate and markup architectural building drawings.
  • Lead or participate in informative site tours and support the team in capturing site photographs.
  • Review and prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and Change Orders (COs) for timely submission, and communicate task updates in client-facing meetings.
  • Join the team for informational visits to team facilities and experience various aspects of construction methodologies and sustainable practices.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related degree with an expected graduation date in Spring/Summer/Winter 2025 or Spring/Summer 2026.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, planning, and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
  • Dependable, results-focused, and ethical.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in or near Denver, CO.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with construction methodologies and architectural design.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices like LEED.
