Buyer

About the position

The Supply Chain Buyer will plan and manage all aspects of material support for the packaging space across all product lines. Specifically, the Buyer will place purchase orders and expedite material as necessary to support demand requirements. In addition, this role will be the US point of contact for any escalation needed in the indirect purchasing process which covers all global organizational purchases not related to supporting our manufacturing lines.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate day-to-day indirect purchasing at Axon and be the lead point of contact available to resolve escalations during US hours of operations
• Work cross functionally with procurement, receiving, quality, engineering, and other teams to expedite needs relating to indirect purchases
• Purchase order maintenance
• Review packaging inventory levels and place weekly purchase orders to ensure needs are met
• Work directly with suppliers on drop ship related purchase orders
• Issue purchase orders to align incoming material to support production and demand requirements
• Partner with accounts payable, receiving, and the supply base to resolve invoicing issues on a weekly basis
• Additional projects on an as needed basis

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or another business-related field
• One or more (1+) years of experience in data entry, purchasing, inventory management, or related position
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
