The role supports channel partners and end users globally, utilizing Kito Crosby products in critical applications such as renewable power, space exploration, national defense, manufacturing, and infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate purchasing and planning processes to ensure production orders are finished on time, prioritizing workloads and problem-solving throughout the process.
  • Initiate purchase orders and amendments for parts, services, and special tools; maintain close coordination with master scheduler and production control coordinator.
  • Secure and analyze quotations, negotiate prices and delivery terms with suppliers, and recommend vendors based on cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness.
  • Work closely with warehouse personnel on the schedule of shipping and receiving orders to ensure timely shipments and receipt of materials.
  • Create purchase orders for outside process applications and determine priorities with suppliers to meet production work order timelines.
  • Support execution of master schedule for assigned manufactured items.
  • Coordinate planning and release of work orders from the master schedule, meeting required ship dates consistent with AS400 MRP requirements.
  • Ensure current revisions of engineered drawings are included with work orders.
  • Coordinate quality matters and engineering changes between company activities and suppliers.
  • Identify and reduce barriers to support schedule attainment by communicating material and resource shortages for open jobs.
  • Promote safety and comply with safety policies at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in Production Planning and Purchasing.
  • Relevant work experience in large, multi-product manufacturing business of highly engineered products required.
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of material requirements planning, shipping/receiving, inventory, and supply chain function.
  • Proven ability to prioritize workloads with suppliers and problem-solve to ensure compliance with purchase order timelines.
  • Ability to manage detailed information and prioritize resources to drive results.
  • Ability to develop and manage supplier relationships.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent negotiation skills required.
  • Customer focus driven.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve collaboratively and cross-functionally.
  • Ability to be effective in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Self-starter who seeks out ways to improve processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with customer-driven demand and Kanban Systems preferred.
