About the position

The Business Tax Professional at Intuit is responsible for providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers, particularly focusing on complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. This role involves utilizing TurboTax Live Business to assist clients in completing their taxes while ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws. The position emphasizes customer interaction through video communications, requiring strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Provide expert guidance and explanations of tax and technical terms to customers.
• Assist TurboTax Business customers with tax advice and full-service business return preparation.
• Utilize video communication tools to interact with customers professionally.
• Document customer interactions and ensure high-quality customer experiences.
• Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per tax year.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Proficient with technology and commercial tax preparation software.
• Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) required.
• Working knowledge of Circular 230.

Nice-to-haves

• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
