About the position

The Business Tax Associate position at Intuit is a remote, seasonal role focused on providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers using TurboTax Business products. The associate will manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws. This role emphasizes customer service and effective communication, as associates will interact with clients through video and audio tools to assist them in completing their tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Provide expert guidance and explanations of tax and technical terms to customers.
• Assist TurboTax Business customers with tax advice and full-service business return preparation.
• Utilize video communications software to interact with customers professionally.
• Document customer interactions and ensure high-quality customer experiences.
• Work towards meeting company key performance metrics and goals.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Proficient with technology and commercial tax preparation software.
• Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
• Possession of any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
