About The Position

Applicants must currently reside in Arizona or be willing to relocate to Arizona by the time of hire. The Business Services Division Supervisor oversees projects in the Business Services Division (BSD) within the Court Technology department. Work areas include the Court’s primary business application iCIS and the large, medium and small application development projects area within BSD. The BSD Supervisor supervises the staff in their designated work areas and oversee the various business phases of application development projects including: project scope development; requirements gathering; coordination of testing and communication; implementation; and support. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field
  • Three (3) years of advanced business systems analysis, project management and industry experience in managing IT projects or IT business analysis involving project planning through completion OR Combined education and experience qualifications: An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and job-related experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Office 365 products and MS Teams
  • Knowledge of SDLC, agile development
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles and guidelines
  • Knowledge of Effective management of professional staff
  • Knowledge of Large volume General Jurisdiction court processes
  • Skill in Managing projects and teams
  • Skill in Customer service orientation
  • Skill in Building strong interpersonal relationships across multidisciplinary departments, as well as external stakeholders
  • Skill in Written and verbal communication

Nice To Haves

  • Seven (7) or more years of advanced business systems analysis, project management and industry experience
  • Three to Five (3-5) years of supervisory or project lead experience
  • Experience with Agile development and web application development projects
  • Knowledge of general jurisdiction court processes
  • Experience working with technology staff

Responsibilities

  • Supervises professional personnel involved in the development of new and/or maintenance and operation of existing information technology systems
  • Oversees multiple business and/or computer application projects through development and support phases
  • Completes project documentation including charter, plan, schedule, communication plan and meeting agendas
  • Evaluates overall and individual work performance to determine effectiveness in providing quality products within time and cost restraints
  • Works closely with business customers, both internal and external to achieve project goals
  • Develops analysis guidelines and documentation standards
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations for needed training for development projects
  • Completes and oversees requirements gathering and analysis for court projects
  • Provides regular onsite supervision and employs in-person assessment methods to gauge business needs through direct observation, monitoring group dynamics with face-to-face interaction, and interpreting body language and nonverbal cues.
  • Establishes interpersonal connections, fosters engagement, and exemplifies expected behaviors.
