About the position

The Business Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of The Paz Center. Responsibilities include maintaining the booking system for overnight stays and events, overseeing billing and contracts, developing budgets to identify revenue opportunities, and producing regular reports. Additional responsibilities include making sure that all emergency items are functional, addressing minor maintenance needs, and supporting cleaning, upkeep and event set up. The Business Manager will be cross trained with the Experience Manager to ensure a VIP experience for all visitors. This is a 10-month employee with times TBD with the Experience Manager. This position must work on campus at the Paz Center. May require nights and weekends. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain booking system for overnight stays and events.
  • Oversee billing and contracts.
  • Develop budgets to identify revenue opportunities.
  • Produce regular reports.
  • Ensure all emergency items are functional.
  • Address minor maintenance needs.
  • Support cleaning, upkeep, and event set up.
  • Serve as backup to Experience Manager.
  • Complete reservation requests and reply to email correspondence.
  • Meet guests to check in and tour the center as needed.
  • Promote guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience in data management and reporting.
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
  • Ability to oversee contracts and billing processes.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance and facility management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hospitality or event management.
  • Familiarity with emergency management protocols.
  • Previous experience in a managerial role.
