About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst at SkinSpirit is a strategic role focused on transforming complex data sets into actionable insights to enhance business efficiency and profitability. This position requires expertise in data analysis, visualization, and collaboration across various departments to support informed decision-making and drive business success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end development and support of SkinSpirit's Business Intelligence reporting environments and data warehouse.
  • Provide data management services such as accessing new data feeds, building queries and macros, organizing data, and designing dashboards.
  • Lead and partner with stakeholders to design, build, and test new reports and analytics dashboards.
  • Train end-users on new reports and dashboards, providing technical support as needed.
  • Guide data strategy and the analytic needs of the business by aggregating data from diverse sources.
  • Partner with and oversee work performed by data engineering vendors on updates to existing integrations and dashboards.
  • Own the data integrity across multiple connected systems, defining and communicating data definitions.
  • Build and monitor analytics dashboards to identify and resolve data inaccuracies and performance issues.
  • Make recommendations for system improvements to increase accuracy, reliability, and accessibility.
  • Use various project management methodologies to successfully execute projects on time, budget, and scope.
  • Maintain a robust documentation library including data dictionaries and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with architectural and reporting standards, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct market analysis to benchmark the company's business intelligence capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience building with data visualization using PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • 5+ years of experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines using SQL.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Rivery, and Python preferred.
  • Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation.
  • Excellent communication skills to present to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with and integrating data from API connections.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products and ability to quickly learn new technology platforms.
