About The Position

This position is located on-site in Thomaston, CT. The Business Intelligence Analyst will collaborate with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery. They will develop new enterprise business intelligence (BI) service offerings, content creation, and value propositions to support and improve business processes. The role involves ongoing development and maintenance of an operational data store and enterprise data warehouse using BI best practices, relational structures, dimensional modeling, structured query language skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques. This position enhances processes regarding data, improving its quality, accuracy, visibility, and usability. The analyst will also provide ongoing development and maintenance of a BI architecture that enables fact-based decision making and ad-hoc analysis and insight generation. They will provide and work with end users to create interactive real-time dashboards and key performance indicators using tools such as Microsoft PowerBI, Crystal Report, SQL Server, or newly identified BI tools. Additionally, the role provides end-user support and encourages user adoption, acting as Tier 1 support for BI tool users, training them on basic functionality, and directing them to training materials and resources. The analyst will work with the Applications Administrator, SharePoint Administrator, and CIO to develop new reporting, cross-train the applications administrator as a full backup, and provide support. Under general direction, the analyst is responsible for converting business requirements and high-level data collection needs into well-specified analyses, reporting, and visualizations. Compliance with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, is required.
