About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst role at TikTok's U.S. Data Security (USDS) division focuses on enhancing data protection policies and content assurance protocols to ensure the safety of U.S. users. This position is pivotal in supporting the Trust and Safety Operations team by leading business reviews, developing automated dashboards, and conducting quantitative analyses to optimize content moderation processes. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to define analytical needs and support demand forecasting, all while navigating a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the weekly business review (WBR) process for the Safety Operations team, including executive level presentations and performance meetings
• Develop and maintain scalable, automated dashboards and reports that benchmark and track progress against key operational performance goals and initiatives
• Work with management and/or internal stakeholders to define business requirements and analytical needs and execute against them
• Support demand forecasting and modeling capabilities related to how fast we should be growing our expenses and our investment in our moderation workforce
• Conduct data mining, regression analysis and other quantitative analysis using industry standard statistical and business analytics techniques
• Creating and maintaining data documentation both for an internal, technical audience and for partner user teams

Requirements

• Proficiency in Excel & Sheets and hands-on experience in SQL
• Experience working with Business Insights tools, e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Experience in data science programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
• Comfortable with ambiguity; able to thrive with minimal oversight and process, while keeping leadership informed on progress against deadlines
• Strong communication, presentation & documentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related subjects is preferred
• 5+ years of experience in management, business process improvement, or analytical roles in content moderation or similar fields
• Ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role
