As a Business Experience & Planning Group Manager within PNC Wealth Management, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA at the Tower at PNC Plaza. Position Overview: PNC is seeking a senior leader to own and advance the Financial Planning platform across PNC Wealth Management. Join the senior leadership team of one of the country’s largest and most respected national banks and help shape the future of financial planning for advisors and clients. As Director of Financial Planning within the Wealth Solutions Products, Financial Planning, and Investment Research organization, you will set the enterprise financial planning strategy across Wealth Management and Premier Banking, manage a high‑performing team of Wealth Strategists and Wealth Solutions Consultants, and partner closely with advisor leadership, digital, and technology teams. You will also own, implement, and continuously enhance third‑party financial planning technology relationships, ensuring platforms are scalable, integrated, and aligned to business and client needs. The ideal candidate is a proven financial planning executive who can lead the end‑to‑end vision and drive execution through a high‑impact team. You bring a strong, informed point of view on what great financial planning looks like across client segments and delivery channels and are accountable for turning strategy into results—through technology roadmaps, operating models, advisor enablement, and coordinated go‑to‑market execution with training, marketing, and digital technology partners.

Requirements

  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree.
  • Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years.
  • At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required.
  • Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • FINRA Series 7 Required

Responsibilities

  • Oversees cross-functional teams to improve line of business planning methods.
  • Defines key line of business initiatives and growth strategies and programs that will drive line of business objectives.
  • Demonstrates commitment to quality by delivering customer focus, appropriate risk management practices and leadership standards to customers and/or internal partners.
  • Responsible for the evaluation and transformation of business models for the line of business to improve their organizational effectiveness, expand business, and increase profits
  • Leads team in execution of strategic plan and/or specific initiatives to achieve line of business goals.
  • Develops strong partnerships with key decision makers to ensure cross-business and cross-functional alignment and synergy.
  • Leads a team or multiple teams that develop and implement best practices and learning plans to meet business objectives.
