About the position
River Oaks Hospital, a UHS affiliated facility located in metropolitan New Orleans, Louisiana, is a private psychiatric facility for adults, adolescents, and children. Since 1970, River Oaks has established a tradition of excellence in the treatment of acute psychiatric illness, dual diagnosis, alcohol and drug detoxification, trauma-based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders. The hospital provides quality treatment to individuals suffering from mental illness and/or addictive disorders, with services available at all levels of care including inpatient, day or partial hospitalization, outpatient, and intensive outpatient. We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Representative to coordinate and implement the facility's strategic sales plan, enhance the facility's brand/image, effectively manage their assigned territory and accounts, and work to achieve departmental and facility business development goals. The Representative must demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience, and dedication in a fast-paced environment while performing duties in accordance with company mission, values, and behavioral standards. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field required. Experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree.
- Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
- Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to communicate successfully, both orally and written, to a variety of internal and external customers, while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor.
- Must have strong presentation skills.
- Ability to clearly speak, write and understand verbal and written English.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Previous experience in a psychiatric hospital or related human service field preferred.
