About the position
The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Business Analytics at Camp Humphreys, Korea. This role involves engaging adult learners in the Business program, focusing on analytics, business intelligence, and managerial statistics. The position emphasizes the importance of interaction, collaboration, and providing constructive feedback to enhance student learning and success.
Responsibilities
- Actively engage students through frequent interaction to motivate them and convey enthusiasm for their learning.
- Guide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem- and project-based learning demonstrations.
- Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishments.
- Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, helping students connect concepts across their academic program.
- Provide feedback to the program chair on possible curricular improvements.
Requirements
- Terminal degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
- 3 years of professional experience in the Business Analytics industry or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Teaching experience in analytics, business intelligence, and managerial statistics to adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
