About the position

The Business Analytics Advisor will support the development and maintenance of a reporting and analytics environment within the Sales and Provider Analytics organization. This role is crucial for providing insights and informing decision-making across the organization. The advisor will collaborate with various teams to define data requirements, design database structures, and implement validation checks to ensure data accuracy for analysts and reporting teams. The position requires expert leadership in complex Business Analytics projects and a deep understanding of business concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key subject matter expert (SME) for data within the reporting and analytics environment.
  • Develop and deliver complex analytics and reporting projects and/or solutions.
  • Integrate and analyze data from multiple sources to create and support data assets for BI and analytical consumption.
  • Use strong programming skills to explore, examine, and interpret large volumes of data in various forms.
  • Develop analytic solutions that meet the needs of the business.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver repeatable and quality data assets that enable business partners.
  • Ensure code is appropriately documented and can be understood by other analysts.
  • Ensure analytic approach and results are clearly understood by business partners.

Requirements

  • Strong technical skills in data extraction, transformation, and tool development.
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, GitHub, AWS, Databricks, Terraform Scripts, CICD, Mac OS/Linux.
  • Proven ability to manipulate, validate, and interpret data from a variety of sources for analytic research and investigation.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing 'no touch' automation in a CI/CD environment.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise data warehouse methodologies and data extraction methods using tools to connect to Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle, DB2, etc.
  • Excellent collaboration and partnership skills with proven experience in managing multiple priorities and agility in adapting to change.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in complex matrix organizations and agile teams.
  • Ability to independently perform data analysis while managing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to include written, oral, and group presentations.
