Grey County’s Information Technology department is hiring a Business Analyst. This is a permanent full-time position that offers a comprehensive pension and benefit plan as well as a hybrid work environment. This job posting is for an existing vacancy. Under the direction of the Business Solutions Manager, the role of the Business Analyst is to work with business leaders across the county to ensure their use of technology and development of new technology projects is defined, optimized, and aligned with measurable business outcomes. The Business Analyst will lead business process mapping and business process optimization exercises with other staff from the Business Solutions Team using lean and agile methodologies. Business process mapping and optimization activities will be delivered both opportunistically (e.g. improvement of existing processes), and strategically as part of large technology projects. The Business Analyst will assist with the development of strategic technology road map for core functional areas such as asset management, finance, and corporate services. Their research and expertise will be used to identify opportunities to improve service delivery, for both internal and resident-facing services. The Business Analyst will use proven communication skills to present their assessments to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical, including project steering committees, the technology working groups and the senior management team.
