Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in data analysis or a related role, with exposure to Power BI and advanced Excel functionalities (Pivot Tables, Macros, VBA, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools, with a focus on creating impactful dashboards and reports
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced environment
  • A growth mindset with a drive to learn, collaborate, and innovate
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with leadership, finance, and other departments
  • Post-secondary education in Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a related field is an asset
  • We may ask you to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (such as coding, or MS office), at our Toronto office
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all reporting and analysis for our personal insurance division (including retention reports, customer data analysis, year over year analysis, new business, etc.)
  • Maintain, update, and enhance dashboards using Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for leadership and finance teams
  • Perform monthly analyses of financial metrics, including organic growth and new business trends, delivering insights to unit leaders
  • Reconcile and upload data from multiple sources into visualization tools, ensuring consistency with corporate financial systems
  • Prepare revenue forecasts, and year-end projections, to support business planning
  • Create and maintain automated processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts across reporting workflows
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and collaborate on special projects to support business objectives
