About the position

Supports both IT and business technology initiatives. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department. 2 positions are available.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and evaluates the current business processes of an organization and identifies areas of improvement.
  • Researches and reviews up-to-date business processes and new IT advancements to make systems more modern.
  • Communicates findings to project sponsor, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with other team members and other department teams on roadmap planning and prioritization.
  • Analyzes process issues and bottlenecks and performs data discovery, analysis and modeling.
  • Creates reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand business performance and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Builds relationships and collaborates with business units, development teams and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requests.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field preferred. (High School/GED and four years of relevant professional experience in addition to 10 years required experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.)
  • 10 years Information Technology experience preferably in business/systems analysis or quality assurance.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills; Skilled in writing clear and well-structured business requirements; proficiency in business analysis tools.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings with business owners, sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with system implementation best practices and methodologies; Excellent documentation skills; Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to manage complexity, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong written and communications skills with attention to detail and ability to advance multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
